UAE Maid Visa (Domestic Worker Visa)
A maid visa, also called a domestic worker visa or tadbeer visa, is a permit allowing foreign domestic workers to live and work in the UAE for the duration of their employment contract.
It is part of the UAE’s Tadbeer program, a government initiative designed to simplify the hiring process and ensure fair treatment and welfare of domestic workers.

Key Points About the UAE Maid Visa
Application: Only employers may apply for this visa after establishing a valid contract with the domestic worker.
Validity: The visa is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
Eligibility Requirements for Employers
To qualify for sponsoring a domestic worker, employers must:
- Earn a monthly income of at least AED 10,000 for UAE residents and AED 25,000 for expatriates.
- Be married.
- Hold the position of the head of the family.
Eligibility Requirements for Domestic Workers
Domestic workers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
